The staff were so friendly and nothing was too much trouble. Our room was very clean and spacious and we had a nice view over the sea. It was my husband's birthday and the hotel provided a bottle of champagne in our room - very kind and very nice :o)
The swimming pool wasn't overly clean and the changing rooms were a bit unitdy, but I think that's more to do with it being open to public as well as the hotel guests.
Friendly yet Proffessional attention.
late breakfast.bacon . Not freshly cooked.Hard.not fresh cooked.
We like the way we were greeted on arrival. The food was good. The Hotel has stunning views over the bay the lawns and garden well kept. The bar staff and reception were excellent. Will stay again..
It is a gorgeous old hotel- about 150 years old. Great location on the beach and within walking distance to the town of Falmouth. Our room was decorated beautifully, and the mattress was very comfortable. Newly renovated room. View of the Atlantic. Decent buffet breakfast or you can order from the menu. Lovely dining area/ lounge area. Very nice indoor pool. Very good service and staff responds promptly to any requests or problems.
Since it is an old hotel, parts of it need to be updated and painted. Exercise equipment is worn. New carpeting is needed throughout the hallways off of the main floor.
Squeaky bathroom floor.
The welcome on arrival @ reception Very good breakfast The location for wedding @ The Maritime Museum ( walking distance) Very relaxing weekend
The bar area furniture needs improving The bathroom en -suite also needs updating Flat screen/freeview TV
My wife and I were celebrating our wedding anniversary, on arrival at the hotel we received a bottle of wine and a congratulations card from the staff, which we both very much appreciated. thank you for a lovely time Rob and Sue Keats
The staff were exceptionally friendly and efficient. The view from the hotel over Falmouth bay is fantastic.
Classic old-fashioned hotel successfully combining Victorian features with up to date facilities and really helpful staff. We unexpectedly had to stay on an extra day in Falmouth so had to change rooms - all our stuff was carefully moved into the new room while we were out, with no trouble or fuss! Even in January the grounds were lovely to walk round with paths through the shrubbery and nice planting, and both rooms had wonderful views.
Food was excellent Staff were excellent Public areas were great
Room 110 was a bit tired
Evening meal cost at £29.95 per person too high. We cannot eat all the courses but was no individual pricing. Therefore we did not eat there. Pity.
Just like its sister hotel in Torquay the functions are perfect.
I liked the feel of the hotel - it was very comfortable and the staffwere very friendly and helpful even though they were dealing with a large christmas function.
We wew given a v small bedroom for 2 on the 3rd floor facing the sea. Its was really only large enough for 1 person. Hal, landing and stairs and our bedroom fell into the 'shabby chic' classification. The stair carpets were thin and the tape made the surface/grip feel unsafe.
close to the beach and nice and quite
Great location, right on the beach front and a short walk into town. Staff were great, the right mix of professionalism and friendliness.
